What is shockwave therapy?

Does shockwave therapy hurt?

You'll feel a firm, rhythmic tapping at the treatment site. Most patients rate it as mildly uncomfortable at worst, and we adjust intensity to your tolerance. Any post-treatment soreness is usually gone within a day or two, a sign the healing response has been activated.

How is shockwave different from laser therapy?

Shockwave uses mechanical acoustic energy to provoke a healing response in chronically degenerated tissue; laser uses light energy to boost cellular repair and calm pain and inflammation.
